Applying for Spanish Citizenship with Residency
My girlfriend is a Canadian Citizen. She was born in the Netherlands in 1972 of a Canadian Father and Spanish Mother. My girlfriend's mother lost her spanish citizenship in 1967 because she married my girlfriend's Father (the marriage was in Spain but he was Canadian, not Spanish). Since that time, My girlfriend's mother has died.
My Girlfriend would like to claim Spanish Citizenship. Could you advise if she would be eligible for citizenship, without a residency requirement and if so, what documents she would need to proceed?

Dear Gnrd,
Yes, your girlfriend would be eligible for citizenship without a residency requirement. I would advise you to engage the services of a lawyer specialized in this field. They will be able to help you with the documentation required in this particular case.
