    Default Spanish Wills and inheritance

    Several Issues.

    1) Does a Spanish Will have to be read by a Lawyer or can the Executor read it?

    2) Is the Executor prohibited from benefitting from the will?

    3) A will benefits a brother (still alive), three nieces of brothers deceased and omits sixteen other nephews and nieces.
Do the other nephews and nieces have the right to contest the will?

Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You

Please read my replies to your questions:

    1) Does a Spanish Will have to be read by a Lawyer or can the Executor read it? It is not mandatory, but we recommend it.

    2) Is the Executor prohibited from benefitting from the will? No, he is not prohibited to benefit from it.

    3) A will benefits a brother (still alive), three nieces of brothers deceased and omits sixteen other nephews and nieces.
Do the other nephews and nieces have the right to contest the will? No, they do not have that right.
