Question About Asylum is Spain

Hello There,

I am from Pakistan, a well educated and law abiding citizen, had a very good life was working as civil government employee unitll due to well known religious reason I had to leave my country because staying there was risk to life.

Now I am staying in Spain illegally, I want to start a new life as a legal status holder.

can someone please advise me my option ?

If I wish to apply for asylum,
How to do it?
and what are the possible chances of sucess?
How much help will it be to hire a laywer to help me in my asylum application?
A good laywer suggestion ?
