price of property sold

is it possible to find out the price paid by a buyer of a spanish property? someone just purchased a neighbouring property and it would be helpful to know what they paid (as a guide to value of our current property).

is there a central registry that notes prices paid? or do we have to ask our concierge to see if she knows!!

Dear Sir,

That information is not publicly available. The title deed will reflect the declared price but it's access is restricted. You cannot walk into a notary and request a coipy of such a title deed without proving your legitimate interest.

If you know his name and surname and if he used a mortgage to finance the purchase you can more or less guess commanding a nota simple for the land registry.
