Spanish Citizenship

I'm married to a Polish national and I do have 5 year residence permit through marriage in Spain.

1-How long I need to wait before I can apply for Spanish citizenship?

Hi Didi,

If you have no Spanish ancestors ( parents or grandparents) then you will need to have resided legally in Spain for 10 years before you can opt for it.

As an Angolan do have residence permit for 5 years through wife that she's an EU Citizens. That meant I do have residence permit as EU family member. To travel to UK do I need Visa? I can go any place EU members countrie without ask for visa, just with my resident permit. But I'm not sure about the UK! Thank in advance.

Hi Didi,

The UK and Ireland are not part of the Schengen zone so they have different entry requirements. I would recommend you contact your nearest British Consulate in order to ask them about this. Tell them that you are of Angolan nationality and hold Spanish residence permit.
