Practising Law in Spain
Hiya,
I hold an LLB (hons) and I have completed the BVC and been called to the bar, but have not completed pupillage. Therefore, I do not have a practising certificate. I'm interested in moving to Andalucia and was wondering if anyone could help with advice about converting to be a qualified lawyer (advocate or otherwise) in Spain.

Dear Janey,
You would need to homologate your Law degree in Spain. Once this has been achieved, which is no mean feat, you would need to join one of Spain´s regional Bar Associations. Normally the one located in the region where you are going to practice. In any case nowadays you only have to join one, unlike before where you had to join each region in which you practiced law.
I take for granted you are fully aware that our legal systems (Case Law and Continental) differ greatly.
