Uk bancruptcy can they take my assets here. How do I protect them

It is possible that I could be made bankrupt in the uk soon. I have not lived there for 12 years. Can they go for my assets here ? How do I protect them, house car etc, any advice gratefully recieved.
Reason for bankruptcy would be because I cannot pay a 40k fine that is coming my way !!

The UK Inland Revenue office and the Spanish Tax office can certainly share information so it is absolutely probable that your assets can be seized or an embargo be put on them; protecting them could be regarded as fraudulent conveyance . I suggest you make an inquiry at UK fiscal advisors to be sure of how the usual procedure is in those cases.
