Tax Implications of Seeking Residency with Non-Lucrative Visa
Hi All,
I'm an american citizen who would like to seek Spanish residency. Being of Filipino heritage and having sufficient passive income, I'm planning to seek a non-lucrative visa and live in Madrid for 2+ years, then apply for permanent residency. I'm wondering if anyone can speak to the tax implications of doing this. I'm hopeful that my US income, which allows me to live without working won't be considered taxable in Spain?
