    Default Changing residencia, new rules?

    Hi,

I have been living in Spain now for over a year. I have just rented a new property in a different town. What do I need to do with regards to my existing NIE and residencia? And do 'new' rules apply?

    Thanks

    Hello Cabbage,

If your residence permit is bound to a specific province as it is a salaried residence permit, you must apply for a modification at the corresponding Immigration Office. You can check the requirements in the Hoja Informativa NÂș 95 of the Ministry of Employment and Social Security website. If it is not limited, or you are an EU citizen, you only have to register at the Town Hall and get a certificado de empadronamiento that will allow you change the address at any time if you wish, by going to the closest Police Station.

If you need more detailed information, you can contact me by email ( click on my profile ).
