    Default Immigration control in Spain

    Hi,
Hopefully if all goes according to plan my wife will be entering Spain on a Schengen Visa to join me in Spain. I am a European Citizen (British) resident in spain, and she is a Dominican, we have been legally married for over a year now.

I will not be accompanying her on this trip as she travels to join me and I just wanted to enquire (assuming everything is okay with the Visa) as to what she will need to show at immigration control in Madrid in order to enter. I understand she will need her passport and the valid Schengen Visa, but will she need anything else in order to show at immigration?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

    Karl

    Hello Karlcoulby,

In principle she will just need her passport and the corresponding visa. However is she is still unsure she can double check with the Spanish Consulate. Once she is in Spain, whilst she arranges her residency it is always good that she carries her passport around and copy of her marriage certificate.
