Default I have just redeemed my RBS mortgage. Are the fees charged reasonable?

I have just redeemed my RBS mortgage on my Spanish house and they want the following fees just to release the deeds. Is this normal/reasonable?

    Notary (estimated) 643,08 €
    Registry (estimated) 324,55 €
    Handling matters 200,00 €
    Our fees (esitmated) 590,00 €

    Total 1.757,63 €

    Very reasonable their fees.

Regarding the LR and Notary's fees tha will depend on the loans amount.

Nearly 2000 Euros to what is in effect signing a few papers to remove the charge that the bank has over the property from the land registry!

No wonder why most Spanairds try and deal under the table when legal fees and taxes are astronomical, hence resulting in one of the most opaque system in modern Europe.

A reasonable fee is a few hundred Euros!!

And no I am not the original poster.

It seems that the fees are a bit higher as compared to other cases but not too much high for these type of cases. Its better to check it out with some other persons having same case of redemption to confirm what were they charged for in their cases.
