Is there a limit on how much cash a person can take to England?

Please could you inform me how much cash money a person can take to England. If there are two people how much per person. Thankyou

Dear Madam,

The maximum amount per person is €9,999 whether cash, traveller’s cheques, bearer’s cheques etc.

Any amount exceeding this may be confiscated.

Either on entering or leaving Spanish territory with any amount exceeding €10,000 per person, it must be declared previously with form S-1 and handed over to the customs officer.
