Is this a Spanish law and if so are all banks governed by it.For example if you have a mortgage on a Spanish property with an international bank do the same rules apply i.e you have a mortgage with say Lloyds international

‘Dación en pago’ is a legal figure which enables the contracted debt to be paid off by handing in the keys of your property to the bank. However according to article 105 of the ‘Ley Hipotecaria’ this action will be allowed but so long as the creditor and debtor agree on this. Yes, it will be the same with a mortgage at Lloyds International.
