Sorry for the late reply.
If you are resident in Spain and sell your property in May 2011, you will have to declare the profit on your IRPF tax return for 2011, which is due in June 2012.
If you are non-resident, you will have 4 months since the date of transfer of ownership to submit your form Modelo 210 (please note that as of 03-01-2011 Form 210 replaces Form 212)
