Hi, i live on a complex and many people on here owe a debt to
communidad and water, next week they are cutting off the water supply to the whole building. I would just like to know if this is against the law here?
thanks,
Richard

Dear Sir,

Water as the rest of the utilities are normally set on an individual basis and are solely under the name of the owner of the property. So they only cut you off if you are not paying the bills. Each flat will have its own electric and water meter.

You don't have your own individual take to regular supplies then?

Hi, We do have our own water meter but the whole building gets the bill from the water board and the building administrators then read each individual water meter and bill accordingly. It is the building administrators that are disconnecting the water not the water board as some tennants have not paid water or communidad recently.

thanks,

Richard

In that case no, they cannot shut you off providing you have been paying on time your water supply.
