Hola, my second renewal of residencia has become a problem. It seems the rules have changed in 2 years time. Now required is the Spanish health insurance. Previously my travel/health insurance was sufficient. Now i must buy 300 to 4oo euro policy monthly. Also they require i place my veterans pension and social security checks directly in to my Spanish bank account. I am in Spain but 7months a year. Live in USA rest of year and have free medical through veteran benefits. This seems to be a burden economic for me as retired and ´no lucrativo¨ especially when i am only here for the 7 months per year. In total i would have place in Spanish bank 1500US$ each month and spend $4000 euro for health insurance for a stay of 7 months each year in Spain, A total of over $22,000 US dollars. Any advise would appreciated. John8
