Is the Lawyer in any way responsible for the wording on the Purchase contract,It has already been stated that if the buyer fails to pay on time the due stage payments he will have broken the contract, therefore if the lawyer fails to adhere to the contract who becomes responsible, The Lawyer or the Developer.

Dear John,

The lawyer is responsible for drafting the purchase contract that is agreed and approved by his/her client beforehand, therefore the clauses of the contract are drafted in collaboration with the buyer and seller and once it is signed and formalized , it has to be observed by both parties.

Patricia we were sent the purchase contracts and asked to sign them by our Lawyer. There was a clause in our contract which states that all monies received by us the buyer, will be placed in a separate bank account to which the developer will not have access. This was not enforced, the lawyer paid the developer direct.Surely that is gross negligence and not in the buyers best interest.
