My partner left spain under negative circumstances in 2005 having previously taken a grant to set up a small shop and with small amounts of bank debts. For whatever reason she didn't bring paperwork with her to the UK but left it with a friend who's partner was a solicitor.

After being in the UK she contacted her friend and ask that her husband help sort out the outstanding debts, initially they came back saying there were a few hundred euros of taxes due urgently so she sent the money to them but never heard from them again either about the tax nor the other debts.

Doing some googling there appears to have been some form of judgement against her and appears to be connected to the taxes larioja.org/npRioja/components/shared/printer/defaultpageprint.jsp?idtab=724659&fecha=2006/02/11&referencia=664874-1-HTML-348006-X&tipo=2

Firstly, would this still be enforceable 7 years later or not? Secondly, would the other banking debts be statute barred now or not? If not, how would be the best way to resolve these matters proactively given no paperwork or knowledge of who the creditors are (the business was set up by 3 people with various ones paying for different things on credit cards/ overdrafts etc)
