Bank Charges Bounced cheque

Cheque received to purchase a motorcycle including transport fee to England of 2500 Euros. The price for bike is 500 Euros
The cheque was submitted to Banesto Bank But the cheque bounced (unpayed).
The bank informed me they are charging me 106 Euros
Can you advise please

Hello,

It is usual for Banks to charge a commission fee for bounced checks. However, there are plenty of court rulings declaring such commission abusive. I recommend you to claim from the bank that the check is returned commission free warning them of your intention to take the legal action if they refuse to do it.
