Spanish Resident - Work outside of Spain?

Hello,

I recently completed Pareja de Hecho with my partner, who is from the UK. I now have residency for 5 years under the Communitario de Familiar.

My question is whether I am able to live and work outside of Spain with this? I keep seeing different responses to this question and I get the impression that my residency only offers me rights to work in Spain, but I can travel throughout Europe.

Does anyone have any information regarding this? It would be greatly appreciated! I am particularly interested in working in the UK.

Hello Katemay

This card will enable you to reside and to work legally in Spain. With it you will be able to spend up to three months during a six month period in the Schengen area but you will not be able to work with it. Note that the UK is not Schengen area so the requirements to travel to the UK will be different than those of other EU countries.
