Starting property management company is a profitable business move as you can get a good amount of money. Does this business require any specialization or degree for starting or I can get it started without any special degree or experience?

Hello Real Property,
You do not need any specific qualification or professional title in Spain to start that type of business. However, you will need an Opening Licence certificate like any other business to start operating. This licence is applied for and obtained by the corresponding Town Hall.
You are able to set up as a sole trader or, alternatively, as a company. The choice of set up will depend on your willingness to invest a bit more initially (Company formation), but which will provide you protection against debts and liabilities susceptible of being incurred in during trading, or start directly as a sole trader (“autonomo”), which is comparatively cheaper but exposes you to be chased for debt, now or in future.
I take this opportunity to offer you our Company Formation Services (http://www.lawbird.com/services/view/12/Spanish-Company-Formation), should you be interested in this option.
Plese feel free to contact me by email by clicking on my profile if you need more specific information.
Regards,
Natasha

There are two answers to this question, firstly, in terms of starting a property management business, you can start without any specialism or experience. However, it would be helpful if you could gain experience and qualifications within a residential property management/block management company, or within an estate agency that has a property management division.
Relevant qualifications include a degree in Estate Management, accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the qualification offered by the Institute of Residential Property Managers (IRPM). This will give excellent grounding in property management legislation.

how long do studies take, and how much are fees for gaining such degree?
