My son a resident in Spain paid witholding tax on a property he sold although the price was less than to paid. This was three years ago and the accountants say its in the ''pipeline'' for repayment. Who can he contact for further information as to when it will be repaid in the Fuengirola / Benalmadena area.

Thanks

Dear Sir/Madam,

The refund of tax model 212 takes on average 12-15 months in Málaga, it does not take 3 years.

If after 3 years your son has not been refunded something is very wrong and is unrelated to the Tax Office having to do with those that cailmed the refund or its application tax form.

Thank you for your reply. Is there a tax agency that we can contact as accountants claim they have done nothing wrong but like you we suspect they have. If we could go to tax agency we could find out if there is a problem.

Thank you

Dear Sir/Madam,

Its as simple as you requesting them a copy of having having filed tax model 212 and you scanning and emailing it to us (http://www.lawbird.com/services/contact) for confirmation free of compromise. Couldn't be easier.
