If I am living in Spain, how can I arrange to grant power of attorney to a UK resident for a joint sale of property abroad? What documents would I need to complete?

Dear Sir/Madame,

We only deal with Spanish POA's excuted either in Spain or abroad. Please read the following on that matter:

You will have to hire a local lawyer where the asset you are selling is located, presumably in this case in the UK. That solicitor will send you a template of a POA in English which you can sign before a Spanish Notary public providing it has been duly translated into Spanish. You then courier over that POA over to your firend in the UK so he can sell your joint property.

Although it might be easier if you grant it at the Bristish embassy/consulate which will save you the Apostille seal on it as well as having it translated into Spanish.

Your appointed UK lawyer will be able to guide you through this process.
