Auction Freezing Order is Registered by Judge in Agreement with Prosecutor in Danske Bank Case

June 23rd, 2011

It’s a definitely difficult time for Danske Bank in Spain. The Judge has agreed that a property on which an Equity Release product was raised should be frozen on account of a criminal investigation into the activities of Danske Bank’s employees, inclusive of Peter Staarup, its CEO. The State Prosecutor has not opposed to the measure and thus, it will be lodged with the land registry with immediate effect.

Interestingly, the Judge also notifies this decision to the Economic Crime Prosecutor for an opinion on the matter.

A very interesting, important and new development and one I am sure people conned by these Scandanavian Banks, registered in the so called tax haven of Luxembourg should take note. Thanks to your efforts I am sure that all affected can sleep a little more peacefully in their beds.
If there are any other people out there in a similar position and are too embarrassed to admit that they have been conned, don’t be, get in touch via this blog and get what you deserve which is JUSTICE. Perhaps the Spanish Authorities should seriously review the activities of these banks and institute more criminal cases against them. This will surely make them sit up and think.Thank goodness we have special lawyers like you to look after our interets.

    Regards,

    Conned

The comments by Ian Sherdley are indeed very interesting, I really do subscribe to his last sentence, and hope that more people will stand up and be counted.United we stand , divided we fall.

Another interesting point has just arisen in a reply to the Luxembourg Financial Authorites. Quite simply they say that they are aware of some Danish and Scandanavian Banks who have subsiduaries in Luxembourg who are targeting British Citizens. The also say that this product i.e Equity Release with Insurance cover is not permitted in Luxembourg. I presume therefor that asd the Luxembourg Authorities do not recognise this product then they cannot give their consent the the Spanish Regulator, thereby this cannot be registered in Spain even with the European Regulations of cross border selling. If this is the case then surely these products are not legal in Spain and the Spanish Regulators should take note and prosecute on a national level.
