Default English woman living in spain to marry Russian

    Hello

I am expecting a baby with my Russian boyfriend who has lived in spain for 6 years but doesn't have legal status here. I am from England but I have been living in Spain for over a year. If we marry in Spain will he be able to reside here as a legal citizen with me and our baby and is he able to acquire documents as an EU citizen.

Thank you for any advice information or assistance you can provide me with.

    Hello Worldlybelle,

Your boyfriend will be able to apply for the residence card as the relative of an EU citizen as soon as your relationship has been formalized, either by marriage or by Common Law partnership. He will get a residence card that will allow him live and work in Spain during 5 years, that can be renewed and turned into a long stay residence card after 5 years. This card will also allow him travel freely nothing the Schengen area for 90 days every 6 months.

For more information, you can read here.
