i have just come across this really useful site.

End of next year I take early retirement from the UK NHS. My husband and I would like to move to Spain. We will have income from pension (mine) plus minimum of 2 years funds in the bank, Plus hopefully income from either short term rural holiday lets or long term lets - this is still to be investigated,

I understand that our NI paid in the UK will cover any health charges for the first 2 years

I also appreciate any global income must be declared and taxes paid. On to my questions

What is the Tax thresholds in spain for a couple
What is the minimum funding required for residency - we will own our own home(s)

I am told that landlords cannot register as automono? is that correct.
After the first 2 years if we cannot register as autonomo is it a case of private health care
