    Default Selling land

I'm trying to sell a plot of land in Catalonia and am quite confused by the different information available on the internet regarding costs of selling. I am a non resident and 65 years old. As far as I can gather, I will have to pay the following:
    PlusvÃ*lua
Capital gains tax - 19% on first 6000 Euros and 21% on anything above.
3% on the sale price (non-resident tax) on the day of sale.

If I have lawyers fees, can this be offset against the capital gains tax? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello Edwards,

You are nearly right, just need correction on the following: The Capital Gains Tax has been raised to 21% until end of 2013, as ruled at Disposicion adicional tercera of the Royal Decree 20/2011, 30th de December, de medidas urgentes en materia presupuestaria, tributaria y financiera para la corrección del déficit público.

The legal fees can be offset against CGT providing you have an invoice as I it is an expense attached to the sale.

If you do not have a lawyer, I would like to take the opportunity to offer you our Conveyancing for Property Sale Service .

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    Kind regards,
