    Dear Sir,

    Welcome to the belegal forum.

The IBI is a local tax, equivalent to the UK council tax . Its payment is compulsory and related to the property itself, regardless of its ownership.

    Best Regards,

    Hello Maggie,

The IBI is the local tax in relation to the town hall services ( rubbish collection, etc ) so it is compulsory. In the event the Town Hall has issued it for the related property, you have the obligation to pay it.

    Regards
