    Default Marriage In Spain. Help!

    Hello

I read much about marriage with someone illegaly staying in europe.

I'm a german citizen living in germany.

can I come and marry my non-eu boyfriend in spain ?

I read that it's possible only if I become a resident in spain If this is true

How to become a resident in spain ?
and how long does it take until my future husband will have his residence permit ?
and do we have to stay within this period in spain ?
do I need a job or only a rent or both ?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

In order to marry your boyfriend in Spain you will need to register at the Town Hall ( PadrĂ³n) of the city you wish to establish yourself in and become resident in Spain.

The time frame to obtain residency will depend entirely on the city you apply in. Larger cities like Madrid or Barcelona are more saturated and it takes longer to obtain an appointment. Whereas in smaller cities the process is swifter and you can obtain the appoitnment and obtain your residency ( EU citizen) the same day. The processing time for a family of EU citizen is around three months. You will not need to be working but you will certainly need to have an address so that you can register at the Town Hall and therefore be able to request residency.

    Default help

    what about the marriage appoitment
after getting residency you just come and marry ?

or you have to wait a certain time after getting an appoitment to bring the documents ? ( certificate of birth etc..)

thank you so much for this forum

I would never had hope without it

    muchas gracias

The marriage date will take a few months to be granted. Nevertheless it is best that you contact the corresponding civil registry and ask them as it will vary from one to another.

I really do not have enough money to stay in spain for that long.
Just waiting and also taking a vacation from my work here in germany only to make my man legal and have a better life.

    My question is :

During the whole process we have to stay in spain ? ( waiting for my registration in spain + waiting for the marriage appoitment + finnaly waiting for my future husband recidency card )

    I have another question :

If we finnaly marry in spain
after having the act of marriage and the family book
can i take my husband to germany and ask for his residence from germany

in otherway the spanish act of marriage is valable in germany ?

This questions is only because of the problem of time but definetly the problem of money
and i'm not sure we can effort me and my future husband to stay the whole time in spain

is there any way to make this easier ?
or we just have to stay there ?

    one more thing
you have no idea about how thankful and greatful i am for getting the chance to talk to people without asking anything back

    it really means a lot

    THANK YOU SO MUCH
