No Escritura for my timeshare

Some 19 years ago we purchased a timeshare in Tenerife, all was well until I split from my husband 2 years ago, he now refuses to pay the maintenance for this year and I can't possibly afford to pay as I'm now a single Mom, I am therefore considering selling the timeshare, however, we never signed an Escritura, just wondered where this leaves us ? I am hoping that I can either sell or donate the timeshare back to the company we owe the maintenenace fees to in order to cancel the outstanding fees, any comments gratefully received, thanking you, Sandra

For most Tenerifian timeshares, there is no escritura, only the contract. Contact the company to request a copy of the documentation.
