renewal of family card(tarjeta communitaria)

hi, iam one of foreigner living in spain and having european wife.i got my tarjeta communitaria.but my wife did some illegal and prisoned for long time .now my card is expired now how can renew my card ,as i did not divorce her.please answer me.

You can renew the residence cards as long as you can still comply with the main requirement, that in this case is the marriage certificate that must be updated to prove that the marriage is still valid. Your wife´s criminal records will not interfere as it is not a requirement for the residence permit renewal application.
