My wife and I (ages 70ís) are contemplating buying a holiday home in Mallorca.
We are British nationality and residents of Malta. Our concern is to avoid the problems of Spanish ownership by non residents and of course the 3% levy.

At our disposal is a long established private Ltd. non trading holding Company in the BVI.; the directors of which are my wife and I and two of our children. We do not have shares in the company, these are held by our children and adult grandchildren, the shareholders are residents of Spain, UK and Australia.

Is it possible/practical to purchase a property in Mallorca through a new private EU limited company (UK or Maltese) that would be a subsidiary of the BVI company.
