Question Dual citizen US/Philippines wants to apply with Philippine passport in US

I have dual citizenship - born in the Philippines, naturalized US citizen - & would like to apply for a non lucrative visa in the Spanish Consulate IN THE US, but with my Philippine passport. Is it advisable to do so, or not? Is this a common practice for Philippine & Ibero-American nationals with dual citizenship? Thank you.

    Hello Toetoe,

Yes, it is absolutely possible to apply using your Philippine passport, as it will be an advantage in terms of Nationality application. You will reduce the prior residency time to be eligible, from ten to two years.
