who pays IBI when selling?

When selling your property in the middle of the year, who is liable to pay for the IBI and basura? What is the norm?

Dear Madam,

In such cases, it's normally shared between vendor and buyer pro-rata in proportion to the months of effective possession.

There's freedom to negotiate.
