Do i need to go to court for unpaid invoices and if i do can i defend it myself?

i cannot pay for legal services at the moment as i am unemployed. however my ex landlady is trying to get me to pay her invoices through a court. She has submitted her claim and i have refused to acknowledge or sign for anything regarding a summons - how long can i do this for and what should i do?

You could be able to represent yourself dependng on the type of legal process. We recommend you that, if unable to afford solicitor´s fees, you contact the corresponding Bar of Association and request free legal aid.
