what is the quickest way of giving Power Of Attorney to my solicitor in spain without going to spain?

Hello Michael,

If you are in the UK I would certainly use the double barrell POA in English and Spanish, which you can sign in front a Notary Public and then legalised in the Foreign Office. Although it may seem as a daunting task it is in reality a very simple procedure if the solicitor sends you the document (in Word documents for example) and you take it to the Notary Public office, who can then send it to the Foreign Office for legalisation (www.fco.gov.uk (http://www.fco.gov.uk)).

It is possibe to receive a POA within 7-10 days from the day of signing at the Notary Office.

If you are in a different country procedures may vary but it is still relatively ease to get them done.
