Do you know if there are any public records of what people make on the homes they sell in spain? Is the Copia Simple the actual settlement statement? Thank you very much.

Hello,

There is no such registry, unfortunately. The copia simple is the best way to know what was the price for that given transaction, but not the previous one. You can however apply for a land registry certificate which will tell us exactly how much was paid when bought and also when sold. It would also be possible to know though the Tax Office once the Notary has sent the information to them but this information is normally restricted.

How can I find out what year my property in Spain was built?

Dear Madam,

You can request this information from your town hall.
